Terms + Conditions

Every session with VenusGirl Photography requires a deposit and signed contract to hold your session date or due date on the calendar. If you need to reschedule one time due to any reason outside of 24 hours, you have one complimentary rescheduling per deposit. After 2 cancellations to reschedule, a new deposit will be required. (photographer’s discretion if the rescheduled dates are far enough out.)

Digitals and proofs do not come with session. Print and digital package prices are separate from session fees. All sessions require a purchase of a collection. You may choose your collection after a FULL session after your see your proofs. MINI session packages are inclusive with the number of images locked in. Clients are not permitted to use the proofs ANYWHERE or retain them. If a client takes a screenshoot of any proofs, they will be charged for that image in the collection.

Payment of any order is due in full when you place your order. Session fees are due the day of the session. VenusGirl Photography cannot accept partial payments for your collection.

VenusGirl Photography requires that you contact us within the first 2 days of your baby's birth. If we are not contacted via email or text within first 2 days of baby's birth, we cannot ensure a spot in the newborn window and your newborn appointment and deposit may be forfeited. In the case of difficulty after birth, VenusGirl Photography reserves the right to schedule the clients for 6 month through one year session instead. The deposit for your session may be applied to another session for up to 8 months old only when cancelling a session before the cancellation window.

Proofs will be available approximately 2 weeks after your session. Hand-edited and finished images will be available approximately 7-10 business days after you make your selections and up to 2 weeks during a baby boom or the holiday season. Your gallery will be available for 7 days online to complete your order. Minimum collection amount is due after 7 days of receipt of your gallery regardless of ordering status. You may extend the hosting time of your online gallery at a rate of $50 per week. Hand-editing is done to each image that is ordered. Included in the edits are portrait -skin corrections, color tones, skin smoothing, eye enhancements in line with VenusGirl Photography's style. Additional retouching may be requested for an extra charge for fly-away hairs, slenderizing, peeling skin, birthmarks or additional requests. These requests would be billed at an hourly rate of $75/hour.

After you place your order, your downloadable images will be made available to you within 10 business days and will be available in a gallery for 7 days to download. Your print products/albums will be mailed to you in 4-6 weeks. Under no circumstance are the raw or unedited images released to clients. VenusGirl Photography reserves the right to choose the edit that best suits each image.

If you have a problem with your order, we MUST hear from you within 5 days of delivery of your images or products. All sales are final. There are no returns on digital downloads, prints or albums. No exceptions.

promotional uses

I may use photos from family shoots on my website and social media accounts.  It’s a little hard to run a photography business without showing the work you do! 

I may display any photographs to promote VenusGirl Photography on my website, social media, in exhibitions, in advertising, brochures, magazine articles and other such material, providing that the images used are used lawfully and without damage to VenusGirl Photography’s client(s). The rights of the people captured in these photographs are protected as detailed in this privacy policy. You consent to this when you sign your contract. Let me know if you would like exclusive rights to your copyright for the additional exclusivity fee and I’ll amend your contract.

cancellations and late arrivals

While I do understand that cancellations are sometimes unavoidable, short notice cancellation limits my ability to help another family that is needing my services. So, for short notice, the following cancellation fee may apply:

-$50 if less than 24 hours but more than 5 hours prior to our scheduled appointment time.

-$200 if less than 5 hours, but more than 2 hours prior to our scheduled appointment time.

- If a cancellation request is less than 2 hours before the scheduled time we kindly reserve the right to charge the full cost of the appointment plus minimum package.

PUNCTUALITY

Please arrive on time to your session, taking into consideration traffic and getting kids out the door. You can always come up the studio a minimum of 15 minutes before your session. Arriving at location for an outdoor session early is always recommended to get your kid’s finishing touches on their outfits and hair, etc.

Our late policy for sessions plus any fees is below:

-20-30 minutes late for your session $30 fee

-30 minutes or more late to your session $75 fee plus right to reschedule if photographer cannot complete the session

-1 hour late is a cancelled session and $200 fee (deposit) will be charged
